Whole Self 50 Hour Advanced Teacher Training

Whole Self Yoga has organised a 50 hour Advanced Teacher Training – Levels 1, 2 and 3 – with Ambra Vallo at Mapperton Estate, Dorset, U.K.

This is Yoga Alliance certified through YACEP.

LEVEL 1 requirements: 200-hour completion of a yoga teacher training

LEVEL 2 requirements: 200- hour minimum certification and teaching experience of 3 years OR  Completed Level 1 w/ Ambra Vallo

LEVEL 3 requirements: 300- hour minimum certification and teaching experience of 5 years OR Completed Level 2 w/ Ambra Vallo

Arrival: Tuesday 5th January

Training: Wednesday 6th January – Sunday 10th January 2021

 

LEVEL 2:

Arrival:  Monday 11th January

Training: Tuesday 12th January – Saturday 16th January 2021

Training: Monday 1st March – Friday 5th March 2021

Prerequisite: Level 1: 200 hour minimum certification.

Level 2: 200 hour minimum certification. Suitable for teachers with three years of teaching experience or have completed Advanced Teacher Training – Level 1 with Ambra Vallo.

Level 3: 300 hour minimum certification. Suitable for teachers with 5 years of teaching experience or have completed Advanced Teacher Training – Level 2 with Ambra Vallo.

 

ACCOMODATION

Home to the Earl and Countess of Sandwich, Mapperton – The Nation’s Finest Manor House – is a glorious sandstone manor house and romantic valley garden deep in a lost Dorset combe among tumbling hills and unspoiled countryside.  The estate is 2000 acres and fifteens acres of Italianette gardens descent from the croquet lawn through the formal topiary down to the wild garden.

For yoga trainings and retreats, we open up our doors, rooms and bedrooms in both the Main House and the Garden Cottage, both of which have been recently renovated.  Our 17th century Coach House has been converted into a state of the art yoga space and café.  And we are warm!  Not just with cozy fires but we have recently installed a biomass boiler on the estate which heats the Main House, Garden Cottage and Coach House.

Ambra Vallo - profile

Ambra Vallo

Ambra is a former principal ballerina with the Birmingham Royal Ballet. Throughout her career she enjoyed the chance to perform on stages all around the world. She turned to yoga on a path to recovery from injuries that naturally result from the strenuous training regime, and as well as becoming a hobby she also credits it with helping to enhance and prolong her career. Slowly over the years she fell in love with the more subtle, spiritual parts of the practice. Retiring from dance allowed her the time to focus on her passion and to undertake further training in Ashtanga Vinyasa (500hrs), Dharma Yoga (800hrs), Rocket Yoga (500hrs), Forrest Yoga (200hrs and Advance TT), Tripsichore (200hrs), and Gokul Vinyasa Yoga (300hrs).

Ambra’s teaching is fun and spontaneous following the lineage of Larry Shultz, Ana Forrest, and Sri Dharma Mittra. Since she retired from professional ballet she has been teaching regularly in teacher training courses, has worked with performers and athletes helping to rethink their traditional training regimes and introduce yoga to drive better performance and increase their enjoyment of sport and performance. Her aim is to guide others so as they may also experience the many amazing benefits of yoga to the body, mind and soul. At the moment she is the yoga instructor at Aston Villa football club.
